Chinese Democracy.

After many, of many, of many, (etc.) years Guns N' Roses has finally released Chinese Democracy an album that took about 13 years in the making.
I expected this album to be a crash and burn like "Zeitgeist," well for me at least, due to the original "Appetite for Destruction" line up not even on the album.
In my opinion "Appetite for Destruction" was one of their best albums besides "Use Your Illusion I & II."
Although they do have some personell from the Use You Illusion Era, so that makes up for that matter.
I love how the band managed to collaborate with Buckethead, so that's also a plus.
Anyways.....
At first listen I picked out the soulful guitar and a more matured version of the oh-so-famous Axl shriek on the first track "Chinese Democrarcy."
Maturity isn't a bad thing after all.
Throughout the rest of the album you will here even more progressions of hard rock and soul, a good mix.
Oh yeah and Axl's kick-ass vocals.
To keep this short, Axl has done a good and successful job at reinventing the "GNR" sound.
I hope to hear their next album, hopefully soon.

Blood Red Shoes is basically an English Rock band
with hints of grunge and punk.

What makes this band different from the rest is their musical democracy.
The duo Laura-Mary Carter (Vocals/ Guitar)
and Steven Ansell (Vocals/ Drums) both have control and say of what's happening music wise and events.
I think that is pretty fair, plus their music is pretty good.

Today is a day in history when MTV is officially dead.
Total Request Live probably the only music show besides FNMTV that actually is dedicated to music.
I remember TRL back in the day with Carson Daly, it was so badass.
Many pop stars such as Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera had their debut.
Not forgetting N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys.

I literally got to see these artist just grow and evolve in to the successes or not successes they are today.
This is definitely something we can brag about to our grand-children.

Then California passes Prop. 8 which bans Gay Marriage in the state of California.
I believe that if you are in love and want to get married, why should it matter is you are gay straight, bi, whatever.
If someone no matter the orientation truly loved me why should I care.

Love is not something you can forge.
It is something rare and lovely no matter gay or straight.
